About me
I’m fascinated by how the mind shapes our experience of life — and how quickly things can change when we learn to work with it rather than against it.
Many people assume stress, anxiety, or repeating patterns are simply part of their personality. But very often they are patterns in the nervous system and subconscious mind - and patterns can change.
This is the work I love doing: helping people shift the deeper patterns behind stress, overwhelm and self-doubt so that change feels natural and lasting.
My Path
Before becoming a hypnotherapist, I spent more than two decades working as a musician, songwriter and performer, and over 30 years using my voice professionally.
Creative work requires resilience, adaptability and the ability to regulate your internal state - skills that now deeply inform my hypnotherapy work.
At different times in my life I have also been a single mother, navigating change and finding new ways to support my family. Those experiences taught me the power of small steps, reinvention and trusting that change is possible even when the path forward is unclear.
Patterns and Change
Alongside my creative career I’ve studied areas as varied as sound engineering and Python programming. What connects these very different disciplines is a fascination with patterns.
Whether in music, code or the mind, patterns shape our experience. And when we understand the pattern, we can change it.
This perspective shapes how I work with clients: focusing not just on symptoms, but on the underlying patterns that drive them.
Why I Do This Work
Life constantly invites us to evolve. What often feels like a problem is actually the first signal that something within us is ready to grow.
My work is about helping people access the clarity, confidence and internal resources they need to make those changes.
Why Clients Work With Me
People often come to me after trying many things - therapy, coaching, or years of personal development - yet something still feels stuck.
What we do together is different because we work directly with the subconscious patterns behind those experiences.
Clients often appreciate three things about working with me:
A calm, grounded approach
My background in voice work, performance and breath awareness brings a deep understanding of how the nervous system responds to stress and pressure.
Working at the root of the pattern
Rather than endlessly analysing problems, we work directly with the subconscious mind where many habits and emotional responses originate.
A collaborative process
Hypnotherapy isn’t something done to you. It’s a process we work through together so you can access your own inner resources and capacity for change.
Discovering Hypnotherapy
My interest in hypnosis began when I was young. Even then I sensed there was far more to it than the old stage hypnosis stereotypes.
Later, through personal exploration and hypnobirthing, I experienced how powerful hypnosis can be as a collaborative process - one where people access their own inner resources, clarity and resilience.
Training professionally with the Jacquin Academy felt less like a career change and more like a natural evolution of that lifelong curiosity.
