Can taking courses change your life
Why Taking Action (Like a Hypnotherapy Course) Changes Your Life — Backed by Science You may already feel calmer after a session, or notice small shifts in your behaviour when you practice regularly. But why does structured action like a hypnotherapy course truly support lasting change? Today I explore the science behind it — and how your nervous system actually rewires itself when you commit to change. 1. Hypnotherapy Works — and It’s Scientific Hypnotherapy is not a mystical practice — it is grounded in well-established principles from neuroscience and psychology. During hypnosis, the brain enters a state of focused attention and reduced peripheral awareness. Neuroimaging and EEG research shows this state is associated with increased alpha and theta brainwave activity, which are linked to learning, memory integration, emotional regulation, and mental flexibility. In this focused state, the brain becomes more responsive to new information and less dominated by habitual, automatic resp

Money, Idendity and Hypnosis
Overcoming Money Blocks: How Hypnosis Helps Us Rewrite Our Relationship With Wealth Money is one of the most emotionally charged topics in our lives. We want financial ease, yet we sabotage it. We want to feel worthy of receiving, yet guilt creeps in. We dream of abundance, yet old beliefs hold us back. Money blocks are not about numbers. They’re about the deep subconscious stories we carry—stories formed in childhood, culture, family, or past experiences. And the beautiful thing is: what lives in the subconscious can be rewritten. Hypnosis is one of the most effective ways to do exactly that. My Own Story — From Musician to Hypnotherapist (and the Money Blocks Along the Way) I have had my own money blocks. Having been a musician and artist my whole life and then qualifying in Hypnotherapy, I often feel that what I do really helps people… and I want to help my friends, family, everyone. So I find myself wanting to give free sessions and music all of the time (which I regularly do). Thi

Are you an Artist or a Hypnotherapist
The Artist as a Hypnotherapist Both music and hypnosis work by altering the way your brain functions. Music, especially when it has a slow, consistent rhythm, can lead to what's known as brainwave entrainment, shifting your brain's electrical activity from a fast, alert beta state to a slower, more relaxed alpha or theta state. This is the same neurological shift that occurs at the beginning of a hypnotic trance. Both states quiet the Default Mode Network, the part of your brain responsible for mind-wandering and external awareness, allowing you to become deeply absorbed. The key difference lies in the purpose and suggestibility. While music can create a trance-like state for emotional or aesthetic enjoyment, hypnosis uses that same neurological state for a specific therapeutic purpose. It guides the individual's heightened focus and suggestibility to create targeted change. Neurological Impact: Music activates multiple regions of the brain, including those involved in emotion (the lim

10 Questions about Hypnotherapy
1. What is Hypnotherapy? Hypnotherapy uses a deeply relaxed, focused state of mind (trance) to access your subconscious, where patterns and beliefs are stored. It's about working with your mind to create positive, lasting change. 2. Will I Be Asleep or Unconscious? No! Hypnosis is not sleep. You remain fully aware, conscious, and in control throughout the entire session. It feels more like a deep state of relaxation, similar to daydreaming or being engrossed in a good book. 3. Will You Turn me In To A Chicken or a Bunny or Make Me Do Something Against My Will? Absolutely not. You cannot be made to do anything you don't want to do, or anything that goes against your values or morals. Hypnotherapy is a collaboration. You want to change something and are willing to imagine suggestion. It feels like magic but it is you doing the inner work as part of a process. Your subconscious mind is there to protect you. 4. Is Hypnotherapy Scientific? Yes. Modern hypnotherapy is backed by neuroscience

What is a Sound Bath?
Imagine being fully immersed in a sea of soothing vibrations, where every sound is a wave of relaxation washing over you. That is the essence of a sound bath—a meditative and therapeutic experience designed to guide you into a profound state of rest and inner calm. It's more than just listening; it's about feeling the sound with your entire being. In a session, you lie back and surrender to a rich tapestry of tones and frequencies. The journey often begins with the gentle resonance of singing bowls, their pure notes helping to melt away any lingering stress. As you sink deeper, the powerful, deep vibrations of gongs build and recede, carrying you to a state where the conscious mind can finally let go. In my soundbaths, I also use harp played though fx pedals as one of the foundational sounds to create layers of harmonic textures and atmospheric sounds, all working to create a safe, transformative space. The goal of a sound bath is to help you achieve a meditative or altered state where

Does Hypnotherapy really work? What does Neuroscience say
Hypnosis is often portrayed as a mystical or theatrical phenomenon, but is there scientific evidence supporting its effectiveness? As a trained hypnotherapist, I aim to shed light on what neuroscience reveals about hypnosis and its therapeutic potential. What Is Hypnosis? Hypnosis is a state of focused attention and heightened suggestibility, often accompanied by deep relaxation. Contrary to popular belief, it doesn't involve mind control or loss of consciousness. Instead, individuals under hypnosis are typically more open to positive suggestions and can experience changes in perception, memory, and behavior. Verywell Health Neuroscientific Insights into Hypnosis Modern neuroscience has begun to uncover how hypnosis affects the brain: Brain Activity Changes: Functional imaging studies show that hypnosis can alter activity in brain regions associated with attention, perception, and pain processing. TIME Pain Management: Research indicates that hypnosis can significantly reduce pain perc
